Marine Surveys

Below is a description of the type of surveys we do, please contact us to discuss your exact needs.

First Impression Inspection (FII) -This is a short inspection intended to give a potential buyer a quick-report about the condition of a particular yacht.

Pre-Purchase Condition Survey (PP) -This survey is usualy carried out after a price-agreement has been reached for a particular yacht and the potential buyer needs to undertsand the technical condition of the vessel he is buying.

 

 Damage Survey (DS)- A survey limited to define the extend of damage after an incident and the related repair costs usualy asked for by the insurance companies.

 Incident Investigation (II) - Investigation to determine the possible cause of an incident on board a yacht or the cause of an accident with one ore more yachts.

 

Safety Inspection (SI) -Inspection that covers all safety appliances and safety certificates on board.

MCA Inspection (MCA)Inspection to provide the client with a 'to do list' for jobs to be carried out in order to comply to the MCA code of practice.

 

Insurance Survey or Valuation (IS) - General condition survey for the purpose of assessing the general condition of the vessel and its market value, usually requested by insurance companies or financing institutions and banks.

New Construction Surveys (NCS) - Surveys during the construction of a yacht to confirm the building quality and to ensure the yacht is built according to agreed specifications in the different stages of the construction. 

 

Environmental Check (EC)On board check for clean running systems and installations, we provide a list of recommendations of how to run the yacht as environmental friendly as possible.

 

 

Our main working area is North and South of  Europe  although we accept jobs world wide.

Our reports are available in the English and Dutch language, while verbal explanation can be given in French and German
